Nobody's Prince: Character Concept

Once upon a time, alicorns were a real pony breed. But then princesses, princes, kings and queens started changing themselves to look "more royal", and everypony began to think that the real alicorns were as powerful as their rulers and would try to enslave them, so they hated and they persecuted the real alicorns while the fake alicorns watched from their pedestals. The real alicorns were not, in fact, ever particularly endowed with super magics, but they began to have to train themselves to survive and therefore, there is nothing but overpowered alicorns left. The pony people have, though their persecution, created the very thing they feared. (Of course, no real alicorn holds a position of power, only the fake ones, like Twilight Sparkle.)

Yes, this one was purely sarsastic. But I like his design enough to build it into a good character.

He had a cutie mark; it faded when he was forced to change who he was, just to survive.
