DUDE the first drawing you did of her is seriously part of the reason I got into Fawnlings in the first place! I saw that years ago and loved it so much I just HAD to check out the species. I'm really glad you're drawing her again!!
I have a little bit of advice if it helps: when I draw dapples, I make them on a layer above the color of the rest of the body. If you make the layer a "clipping group", you won't have to worry about them going outside the lines/color on the body.
I use a brush with 75% or so hardness and about 80% opacity and draw them on. I just use a color A LOT lighter than the base coat so they're easier to see. This doesn't really matter right now because you're only drawing the dapples. Once I've drawn them all on, I take a small blending brush and again with a lower opacity, soften up the edges of each individual dapple so it looks more natural and blended in. Don't just blur over all of them at once! You want the center of the dapples to stay a bit bright and solid.
Once I'm satisfied with the amount, I take a very soft eraser at 20% opacity and erase around the edges of the groups of dapples to give them all a sort of fade to make them look more natural and so they don't look like they were just slapped on there. Then I lock the layer and lower the opacity of the entire layer until the dapples are blended nicely with the base coat color and appear gradually! If you're unsatisfied with the color, this is when you can go and since the layer is locked, try different shades until you're content!

I hope some of that helps! <3
